Tried one stick of ram no gpu just cpu, no luck...idk if it's the cpu or mbo

I have tried just running one ram stick, cpu only. I haven't tried it outside the case, I might try that. I'm also hearing around other threads that it may be a bios update for the cpu gen

Just put a new build together, bought a new thermaltake 500w psu, using an asus Z97-A, intel arc a380, intel 4790k, and 2x4 bassilisk RAM. I have an m.2 in as well if that matters. The motherboard's LEDs will turn on, but using the power button, or jumping with a screwdriver won't work... I'm...
