I bought a used Xbox to play RDR1 after getting obsessed with RDR2. Not only did the cd tray crap out within a few weeks, Rockstar then re-released RDR1 on the PS4. At least I was't out much...$60 for the Xbox, $10 for the RDR1 disc.

Anybody picking up Civ 7 in early access? I'm not tempted given the lack of England, but am enjoying watching gameplay videos.

If it's worth my while. Exploring the world was my FAVORITE thing about starting RDR2 -- I'd gone all over the map before getting to chapter 3. If it's just a lot of repeating textures, though, then no.

Replaced my system after eight years after the motherboard or power supply went out (didn't do a lot of troubleshooting because I was planning on a replacement anyway), and picked up Cyberpunk 2077 during the autumn sale so I can finally play it. I avoided any discussion of the plot, etc, so...

Finished playing my first year in Fields of Mistria. Quite impressive for an early-access title. It's the best of Stardew Valley made better, and the annoying elements removed.

Any sale that's enough to nudge me into buying, but that varies widely on the game itself. Like, if there's a game I'm unsure about, it would have to be substantial -- over 50%. On the other hand, for something like American Truck Simulator DLC, all I need is a nudge.

I've been playing Fields of Mistria in early access and am loving it. It's like SDV, but with fixes and more dynamism in general. Finished spring of year 1 last night, and am looking forward to exploring it more.

And the winner is.....Fields of Mistria, an early access SDV-like game which has the charm of the original but with some better mechanics. Bought it last night and played it until past midnight.

Kingdom Come II I can see. I can't play the original game because of my aging rig. but love the premise.

In Stardew Valley, my house is filled with kegs for brewing wine, and plants. That's about it. I used to decorate a lot in The Sims as a kid, but these days my builds are just functional boxes. I did like decorating the camp in RDR2, though.
