I have a hybrid grip. Fingertip grip, but I rest my wrist at the table/mouse pad. I only use my fingers to move the mouse. My wrist and to a degree, my hand, don't move.
It might look simple, but the gameplay is very deep. Once you start playing it, you realize why graphics are like this, and a top down view has some advantage in a game like this. Give it a try, I don't think you'll regret it.
Up until 3d cards like 3dFX Voodoo, or consoles like the Dreamcast or PS1, arcades had the advantage when it came to graphics and performance. It's is no surprise they slowly went away when people could get that performance at home, while PCs and consoles also became much more common.
It depends on the game. There are a few titles that I would buy on day one for full price. Witcher 4, certainly. A new Red Dead Redemption game, sure. Same for the next Horizon or Elder Scrolls game.
That said, just checked out Clair Obscure Expedition 33, and that looks like a game I might...
This one is easy for me. HTC Vive. I bought it in 2018, and used it for a total of 2 hours, and it sat on the shelf until last year. Sold it for 1/5 of what I paid for it.
I still want a VR headset, but the HTC was outdatet at the time I bought it.
I have some X360 controllers I still use now and then. I think the oldest is from 2007. Also have an old USB stick I use for BIOS updates.
That said, I think my 2004 car is the oldest piece of tech I have.
