I hope you'll have a great time with it, in my opinion combat is a bit lacking but it does get a bit better further in the game. I also personally liked it more with a controller so if combat doesn't quite click try that.

Celeste and Super Meat Boy are the only two that immediately came to mind. That style of gameplay is fun to me, you die often but you're instantly back up to try again. I tried cuphead once but it doesn't have the movement I was looking for.

I do for Destiny 2, because the content you play is linked to it, without the battle pass I couldn't participate in this season of content. But beyond that I wouldn't bother with it really, I don't care about the rewards. I think of it as a "soft-subscription"

All those MMOs offer something different but are still built on the same foundation of what an MMORPG should look like. WoW has some best in class Raid design, ESO is all about its question in my opinion, FF14 has so many systems it builds on constantly and SWTOR is wow for Star Wars fans...
