I dip into it every few months and generally enjoy myself. I do find that I can only deal with having so many battle pass style progression systems on the go at one time, though. With BF5, the constant tides of war unlocks just wear me out after a while. I'd probably play it more if I didn't...

I have the same thing, but usually manage to drag myself back after an obligatory six-month-to-two-year break. I'm finally on the last few missions of the Witcher 3, having got back into it for the first time in three years. Hopefully it won't take me another few years to complete the expansions...

Dicey Dungeons is a Slay The Spire-style dungeon crawler with turn-based dice roll battles. It's neat: full of cool character concepts that change how you play, and an ability-building system with plenty of depth.

It's a new year, but that doesn't mean we can't have a calm, considered discussion on the old one. What was your favourite game? What surprised you? What game didn't you get time to check out because you accidentally spent the entire year playing Warcraft/LoL/Destiny 2/etc... Here's PCG's own...

It's the case for multiplayer shooters generally, I think. Bad Company 2 is still my favourite Battlefield for multiplayer. But I'm gonna load up BFV regardless because I know it has enough players (of a wide-enough skill range) that I can both easily find a game and feel competitive.

Fingers crossed for next year with Doom Eternal. But yeah, I'd say Dusk was easily my favourite shooter of the year. Although I'm quite enjoying the new CoD, too? First one I've played since Modern Warfare 2, so it's possible I'm just finding that style of FPS more of a novelty than most.
