Totally forgot you were a Viking! Topre does seem very interesting, but their keyboards start at around $160USD which is very expensive. Would love the chance to try it at some point in my life, though that would almost mean needing to buy one. Some other companies make similar switches as...

@Kaamos_Llama If silence is your top priority, I've heard great things about the Dark Mount and Light Mount keyboards from be quiet. https://www.bequiet.com/en/keyboards Also your post somehow reminded me of this video I saw a while back talking about a Japanese brand named Topre and their...

Happy New Year! General Game Discussion--January 2026

Maybe it's easier to market? Esports players care about speed, performance, agility, reflexes, and all of that is easy to market towards when you're improving your technology to be faster and more capable than previous iterations. A new mouse sensor able to provide much higher DPI is more...

I...

Happy New Year! General Game Discussion--January 2026

Haven't gamed much at all in the past week, had so much stuff get thrown at me in life. Nothing bad thankfully, just busy as all get out! Can't wait to play something tonight, but I feel myself slipping off my current rotation. Do I pick something up new to re-ignite that interest or just...

Exactly, not a monopoly in the legal sense, but in a consumer sense. It's the default to use Steam as your games platform on PC, almost the same how Xbox and Playstation lock you into their own stores. There is lots of healthy competition, lots of sites to buy Steam games not directly through...

I hear a lot about Palworld and it's developer, and every time it makes me root for them. They're sticking it to Nintendo and that is always a good thing. How is Palworld as a game though? I'd like to support them but I don't hear too much about the game itself, besides when it smashed...

Your thoughts on using a wireless mouse "wired"..

PCGamer put out an article recently that was full of praise for the Corsair Sabre V2 Pro mouse pads. They come in different "configurations", for fast paced FPS you may want to look at the QcK Performance...

Do record games with steam interface

I've been messing around with it lately as well. I think it saves each clip and recording as a temporary file. When you view a clip via Steam, you must right click it and export the file to your computer. You can also change export settings so it's higher quality.

    CES 2026 Discussion

It is also developer-dependent. AMD can't force game makers to update to FSR 3.1 or 4, so that is also part of why adoption is moving slowly. This time next year I bet FSR 3.1 and 4 natively built into games will become standard as that and DLSS are nearly perfect now.

    CES 2026 Discussion

A bit disappointed that Nvidia had more gaming-related announcements than AMD did. I know FSR4 Redstone just came out a month ago, but it would be nice to get an update on game support increasing.

The Free Time Limited Games List

Fun time waster. Kind of a tower defense game for people with ADHD, as things can move insanely quick if you have the fast forward turned on. Lots of different unlocks too so there is a good amount of content included.

    Coconut Monkey Cornerclub

My wife and I went to a ren faire in Oklahoma a few months back and there was a lady selling hand bottled spices. She had a large selection of different types of salt and let us sample a few. We tried a smoked black salt and I immediately bought one off her, and have used it when grilling many...

I think that is the only association, though I do wonder if Amazon Games has anything to do with the remaster. Maybe not though. I'm on the same boat as you, I'm no longer excited about AI as I was maybe two or three years ago. In fact I'd love to see the bubble burst, which many say it is a...

What epic freebies did you try and keep.

I just accept all the free games they give me. Even if I don't play them now, I may in the future. I imagine it like opening a time capsule some years into the future, opening a massive library of games I've rarely touched. My most played freebie on EGS is DEATHLOOP, pretty incredible...
