My first RTS strategy love was Command & Conquer Red Alert. The series as a whole has been hit or miss for me. I also have fond memories of Age of Empires, Total War, and Starcraft. When speaking of 4X, Galactic Civilizations and Stellaris are both excellent.

Longtime PC Gamer here. First games played on the old Apple II. Got my first PC in 1995. Wing Commander/Tie Fighter/original Age of Empires. Lots of memories, and have raised several kids who I built PCs for as well. Definitely a good way to forge relationships and friendships.
