Mouse pad and joystick share I/O with keyboard?

One of the common issues with cheap keyboards, and why people might opt for expensive mechanical keyboards, is a thing called "n-key rollover." Cheap keyboards (see: membrane) limit the number of signals they can send to like 2-3 at most, so you wouldn't be able to for example, hold down a...

Balance between CPU, GPU, and thermal limits

the main problem with all laptops is they sit "flat" on a surface, and the decide to place their fans on the bottom as well. This causes them to easily heat up too much because of how hard it is for the fans to access fresh air. A simple vented tilted stand can make a huge difference in temps...

    Transporting a MicroATX cube?

It's generally an extremely risky idea to transport desktop PCs, as there's a rather high chance it'll just not work one day after moving it. something gets knocked off and the thing doesn't post, or your hard drive gets corrupted, ect. They do make backpacks for em, this one fits the Apevia...

    A question about Media PC's/Living Room PC's

Hmm, i'm kinda curious how bad a four year old computer could be with windows 10 on it? It's possible it just needed new versions of the drivers to be compatible with windows 10. Both of my media center PCs are pretty old being built around 5 and a half years ago, and they run fine.

How do you define game categories?

Right, so Life is Strange and Tomb Raider would fall in the "Adventure" category, and that would be where the "set character" would make it not an RPG. Truck Simulator might also be an RPG, even though you have a little more choice in where you drive your truck, I would say what makes an RPG is...

    The best PC controller 2020

PS4 Controllers are I believe, but many games won't display the right symbols for the controller, so you'll have to know that Y = Triangle. One benefit of PS4 controllers though is you can use them to remotely play your PS4 games on your PC.

How do you define game categories?

I'd still say the genre are distinct, even if they've stolen gameplay elements from each other. Just because Doom lets you upgrade your weapons, it doesn't make it an RPG, just like how finding a new weapon in an RPG doesn't make it a FPS because you find new guns in Doom. An RPG is primarily...

How do you define game categories?

Those games you mentioned are actually simulations, because they're trying to accurately "simulate" a real world thing. Or their strategy. The two overlap a more than alot of other categories. Simulation covers a lot of things, like it simulates running a business, it simulates running a farm...

Question What kind of game do you wish existed, but doesn't?

So I want a game where the style of play is Cersei/Littlefinger/Varys, (Game of Thrones) where you rise to power through political intrigue, deception, diplomacy, ect. I've played a few CYOA games that are kinda like that, but I want something a bit more open ended. If AI Dungeon had a memory...

Feature What game would make a great Netflix series?

X-Com would honestly make a pretty competent series. It has a clear progression of story beats from "are there aliens attacking us?" to "We're in a secret war with the aliens" to "This country has surrendered to the aliens and is now our enemy" to "we're going to mars blow up those gawd dang...
