    January 2025 General Game Discussion

Yes, it was me who mentioned it. I believe the plot is based on an unused episode script of the TNG TV show that they didn't get around to filming. They also had a TNG show writer oversee the game's writing and of course the entire main cast contributed their voices. So yeah, it's fully...

The Maze: Solve the World's Most Challenging Puzzle

6pm is 18:00. The hour hand is pointing downwards saying we should go back the way we came to 18. There are 9 time units on the list, and at the top there are 2 halves of an hour glass showing we double it to get 18. On the sundial there is 1 lighted portion on the gnomon and 8 lighted portions...

The Maze: Solve the World's Most Challenging Puzzle

Let's all pick 18 again If I've understood the conceit correctly, this is like a Choose Your Own Adventure where you're just going to pre-numbered paragraphs / pages / images. So going back to the same number should always be the same.

This is why I stopped buying Tropico games. I loved the concept but when it came to actually playing it… yeah.

I track my cheevos on https://truesteamachievements.com/ so I don't spend much time tracking them on Steam itself.

    Another pre purchase rip off

My wife often laughs that I have a PC that costs as much as a cheap car, and I often use it to play indie games that absolutely do not require such horsepower.

    Another pre purchase rip off

At launch in November 2009, the standard edition of Dragon Age: Origins sold for £39.99. In today's money, that's £61.84. So I don't think there's any need to complain about the game's price. It's already 20% off compared to DAO, which you bought no problem.

What's a "big sale" to you?

Not useful per se but I enjoyed reading it! When I first set up the time-tracking spreadsheet I copy-pasted the list from my Steam purchase history page because it had the dates. Since then I update the spreadsheet manually whenever I buy a game, it's no effort. Although since getting more into...

What's a "big sale" to you?

I created a spreadsheet (of course I did) containing all of my Steam wishlisted games plus useful information about them and then multiple functions to measure how good a sale it is. This is a picture of the spreadsheet during the Steam Summer Sale. The grey italicised columns are...

The Maze: Solve the World's Most Challenging Puzzle

@ZedClampet I pick door “ƎИIИ” (9). My reasoning is that everything in this room is backwards. So when the sign says “This way” it means it's not this way, and when the sign says “Stop” it means don't stop.
