Thanks for the advice Part of it I realized is also games that I can't change, like new games only using 1 cpu core (annoying!). I will try undervolting because I think CPU heat throttling is a big issue on these unoptimized games

"HyperX® 16 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)" Does CPU overhead mean it is using too much of my CPU and not enough of my GPU? Edit: my GPU usage during good fps is like 70% and during the bad fps its like 55%, not a huge difference but maybe that makes a big difference?
