Aw Yakuza. A bit of a mixed, but enjoyable bag for me. I'm a big action game fan, and honestly Yakuza has some pretty fun combat (when it's not bullshit hyper armor and guard break boss extravaganzas). Definitely am a fan of the series and characters. Really hoping Yakuza Pirate is good.
Lots old arcade games developed on more obscure code bases/tech are still only available through emulation mostly. I find it very unfortunate that to be the case, because that's history just being thrown into the trash of the medium, and I don't really like that.
I Prefer a lot of older games, design and feel wise for the most part. I genuinely like how old games play. I feel new games are trying way too hard to be realistic or just try and take ideas from older games, as opposed to coming up with new game design concepts or expanding on said concepts...
Do you, as people of the general public, and as a gamer, really care about "buzzword" design tropes for games? My point being when someone says "this game is a soulslike." I don't really like this one-note sorta offhand denotion of a game. Do you care if an up and coming game is a "Soulslike" or...
