    Phasmophobia

This was the first game I tried when I got my VR headset, and it's fantastic for what it is. Definitely immersive and probably the only time I've been freaked out by a video game. It's the kind of game I probably won't play all the time, but it'll be fun to jump into every Halloween or so.

Weekend Question: Which game has the best loot?

Risk of Rain 2. The game itself contains SO MUCH LOOT that dramatically alters the way you play or progress through a level. As you go through it, you unlock additional loot drops so the game continues to evolve as you complete runs. The rogue lite nature of the game keeps it fresh, IMO. Hades...

I need Star Wars Galaxies style housing back in my life :)

Eh, the NGE gutted all the complexity of the game and replaced it with an incredibly simplified, dumbed down game. Yeah, not everything was great pre-NGE, but it was certainly better. I wouldn't call dumbing down a game and stripping its soul an improvement. And a lot of those things you say...

I need Star Wars Galaxies style housing back in my life :)

I just need Star Wars Galaxy game design in general to make a comeback. Every MMO since that one has been an absolute disappointment in diversity and a player-driven world. From the non combat professions to the player driven economy, nothing has come remotely close. And the politician path was...

What is your major PC blunder?

About 11 years ago, I was going through my biannual fresh installation of windows. I had an external hard drive plugged in backing up a ton of irreplaceable photos and other stuff that I had collected over the years. It was a lot of data, and it was taking a long time to copy over to the other...

    Invincible - Amazon Series

I wasn't convinced that JK Simmons would work for Nolan, but man was I wrong.

    Invincible - Amazon Series

It's absolutely worth reading the comics, granted I am pretty bias here because as I said it is my favorite super hero comic if not comic of all time. The pacing is a bit slower than the show (they kinda had to pick up the pace to not lose people early on) but it's excellent.

    Invincible - Amazon Series

The show went live on Amazon last night, and so far it is such a great adaptation. They have definitely changed some things from the source but so far it sticks to the spirit. Very excited to see how it continues taking shape.

What game has the most annoying loading times?

Still GTA Online IMO. Other notable mentions include BG3 (I suspect this will get optimized before launch, though, but right now even on my NVME it's pretty painfully long), RDR2 Online, and Pathfinder games after you put in a couple dozen hours into a save.

    Medic in games

Healing roles are a dying breed in modern games, and these days they tend to shoot for either self-healing mechanics or hybrid roles where healing is kind of an afterthought and not very strong. Aside from the ones mentioned (which are notably pretty dated) I can't think of any that really...

Question Has an update ruined a game for you?

Oh man, the culling. What a great game that was until it suddenly wasn't. That's a prime example of a patch absolutely ruining a game, and a devs vision getting in the way of itself. A lot of games have had updates that kind of ruined them for me, although it's kind of hard to bring another one...

    Invincible - Amazon Series

So my favorite super hero comic book is getting an animated adaptation, and they just released the first full length trailer for it today. I am so stoked to see this come to life. I have so many questions about how the story will play out over the seasons but getting this little sneak peak is so...

Is it over yet? Games that you just want to finish and move on

I can't remember the last time I beat an assassins creed game. Maybe the first one? I dunno, they usually grab me a bit initially but I always fall off hard less than halfway through the game. Pathfinder is also my "is it over yet" game. So much so, in fact, I have yet to beat it. I've managed...

    Baldur's Gate III

Larian is doing a Panel from Hell 2 tomorrow, where they plan to discuss some things including the upcoming Patch 4. There are some secrets they plan to reveal regarding what to expect with the patch, but they'll also be talking about new spells, new tieflings, and some other stuff. Based on...
