Disco Elysium - The future of RPG gameplay?

I really loved my time with Disco Elysium. I'm excited to see how ZA/UM works to improve things in the future in that engine, as I think it's ripe with possibilities.

    The best cooperative board games

Love this list! My game group has really taken to Mysterium, as it adjusts well to different numbers of players, and offers a fun spin on exploring communication through subtext and intention. As long as no one gets too frustrated... 😂

If you're into Star Wars—and willing to take a look at a new system—I really cannot recommend Fantasy Flight's new books enough. Edge of the Empire is a fantastic, immersive game with mechanics that really aid in telling Star Wars stories of heroic adventures surrounded by scum and villainy...

Question Please help my OCD...OR make it worse(but please don't)

The build looks good to me, motherboards are kind of buy as you need affairs, and it sounds like this one suits your needs! Now if we can stop the appropriation of OCD as being "particular" instead of an actual disability, that would be a great step forward.

Whats the best sci-fi series of all time?

I've certainly enjoyed my Star Treks, Farscapes and Battlestars. But The Expanse has really taken on a life of it's own. It's incredible—even having read all the books I am just in love with the show, which is rare for me.

Question What RPG Characters have you Dated/Had Relationships With?

I've always felt like Bioware "romance" felt awful and shallow. I hate that sleeping with someone is a goal in any game—let alone the method to getting there is essentially "do stuff for me and I'll love you". Ugh. That being said, I did love the relationship dynamics in the Witcher 3. That's...

Working from home? Show us your setup!

My current baby. I have always been attracted to custom loops, and finally decided to just go for it. There are definitely way I can improve it next go-around, but I'm really proud of her.

The best board games for 2019

The best game I picked up this year was Wingspan by far. Extremely approachable, but deep mechanics (Stonemaier is good at that). The theme is also just really fun, unlike anything else I've really dealt with, which is nice. I have a easier time getting my friends to play board games that...

    Dungeons and Dragons

I've found some groups by asking at local hobby stores. Especially the ones owned by old grey-beards who know all the old-school players. That might keep you away from the kiddos.

atmostfear is a tall glass of nope

Oh my! We had this as a kid, but it was called Nightmare in the US I guess? Or they changed the name. We actually found it recently and played it again as adults. It makes a surprisingly good drinking game! 😂

Have loved Pen&Paper RPGs since I was introduced to D&D in the early 90's. These days I try to stay away from D&D/Pathfinder in favor of less crunchy, more atmospheric systems. I'm currently playing in an Urban Shadows campaign, a system which I adore for it's ability to evoke 90's Buffy/Blade...

    Introduce yourself here!

Howdy Folks! My name is Erika (She/They), and exactly 10 years ago, I was working at PC Gamer as an intern. Crazy to think how much has changed in that time. I have a weakspot for any games that use a steering wheel or joystick. These days that consists of me playing a lot of Forza and Elite...
