General Game Discussion for March 2026

This is what got me with that game. Never played more than a few hours, because it felt like endless walking and zero exploration or interesting things to find.

    Steam Spring Sale 2026

As a huge XCOM fan (not X-COM), couldn't really get into Xenonauts, though I really tried. Little disappointed they didn't change the art style for 2, because it never really jibed with me either and I do think that was always a bit of the problem for me. WMD is good though; I really like the...

Good luck! Hoping all goes well. I picked up a new eReader. I've had a...first Gen? Kindle Paperwhite 2012 since 2018. Hacked it about a month ago, because I got a wild hair up my butt, but that seems to have broken Libby, which was very disappointing. Tried to fix it by resetting it, but now...

    Steam Spring Sale 2026

I've been on a bit of a tear lately as far as buying stuff goes. I've picked up Master Chief Collection (never played Halo before) and The Division 2 over the past month or so. Only put a little bit of time into The Division so far, so I shouldn't be picking more stuff up; that said... Today I...

I drove back home from Southern Colorado on Sunday, it was a total of about 3-hours. It started out with very mild snow flurries, heavy wind, to the point that it was a little dangerous to drive. Saw two overturned semi's on the highway in the stretch of highly gusty area. But the flurries...

    Updating Nvidia Driver Question

I usually ignore my drivers until I feel like I'm having a performance issue or some other problem that an update may resolve. Then generally just click right through (if you're using the Nvidia Experience software, should be easy). Sometimes I might think, "Oh, I should see if there's a new...

PCG Article Discussion for March 2026

The Billionaire class doesn't like to be told, "No". This is why they consistently surround themselves with sycophants. They get their fee-fees hurt.

General Game Discussion for March 2026

I skimmed the video, did they mention they were doing Blue Shift? I think Blue Shift is pretty damn great and has a lot of what made the original Half-Life a fantastic game. I think the prior expansion, Opposing Forces is actually a bit crap. I played it recently (earlier this year) and found...

Looks incredible. Might have to play it again. I'll stop 1/3 of the way through Xen this time though or maybe just throw on God mode, because it kind of falls apart after that 1/3rd mark.

I assume you're talking about the screen between the window and the open air or is there a trim issue with gaps where the spiders get in? Cause per a screen, there's places that will repair them for a nominal fee and then you'd be good for the rest of this summer. I actually put some holes in...

General Game Discussion for March 2026

Copilot has actually been essential for troubleshooting Linux issues. It's made Linux actually usable as an OS, because you don't have to wade through forums with out of date, inaccurate and wrong information or forums where people just insult the user asking a question, rather than actually...

I had a Surface Pro, which was 12", I think and it always felt too large to me. Too difficult to use as a tablet, but a weird in between as far as laptops went. I like to read magazines, websites, play tablet games and generally just use it with one hand and 10" feels perfect for that. But it's...

Do you have a box fan you can stick in your window to suck air out of it? Or vice versa. Our whole house fan essentially works this way (sucking in cool air from open windows and blowing it into the attic) and it's amazing. I did that weird thing again where I installed Linux (Fedora) on my...

Actually, I should point out that the cool thing we did, aside from climb on a tank, was hike an ancient volcano. Down into the caldera and up along the rim; it was super interesting to see the shape of the cooled lava flows from the top, which are still evident these millions of years later.
