if you can play the game without RT then probably yes. My 7900XT isn't as strong as that card but easily gets over 144 in most games...

I think you are getting mixed up with terms 2.5 inch and M.2 refer to their form factor 2.5 inch ssd are the credit card sized drives...

SSD come in many sizes, the squares came first and are being replaced by the sticks which are generally a lot faster...
