I think it depends on what kind of games you enjoy. If you want to do the whole history of PC gaming start with classics like Doom or Half Life, Civilization. But if you're just looking for a good time, I'd try Left 4 Dead or Dota. You've got to figure out what kinds of games you enjoy.

I don't really enjoy RPGS that much. But when one comes out with spectacular reviews, for a long time, I'd buy them anyway. I played maybe four hours of fallout 3, and I just didn't want to figure it out. I need more action, multiplayer games like dota keep my attention though.
